What type of photography sessions do you offer?
I work on location, in home or at a location that we mutually agree upon. I specialize in maternity, newborn, fresh 48 (in hospital) children and families. Other types of sessions I offer include high school senior, head shots, corporate, business branding and small events. I do not offer pet photography, but pets are welcome in your family session for a few poses.
Do you offer any specials or seasonal portrait sessions?
Yes. Throughout the year I may offer special limited edition session events with special pricing. This usually takes place at various locations in the spring or the fall.
How is a mini session event different than a regular sessions?
Mini session events are usually done on a specific day with specific limited hours. In the fall I hold a fall portrait special at various locations with special pricing. Sessions are shorter than regular sessions, usually 30 minutes,, and include all final high resolution digital images. Mini session events are announced well in advance on the Facebook business page and on the blog.
What kind of products do you offer?
I offer digital image packages, prints, wall art and albums. Please inquire with me if you have any specific product requests or ideas.
How do I book my session and then what happens?
To book your session you can connect with me through the Contact page or call 978-490-6820. We will discuss a day and time, answer any questions you may have, and then we will book your sessions. After your session is booked, I may ask that we have a short phone consultation to go over the details of your session. Session fees are due payable at the time of booking as well as a signed client agreement. I can hold a session for 24 hours to allow time for purchasing your session. Details on how to do this will be provided to you once we chose a time and date. Sessions that are not paid within 24 hours may be opened back up to other clients. Please note that certain times of the year are in high demand and sessions fill up fast.
How do I prepare for my session?
Your session includes a short pre-session phone consultation where we will go over what you want out of your session, what you want to focus on, the end results you want from your session (wall portraits, head shot for business cards, etc), what to wear, and anything else that will help you and I prepare for your session.
What is the basic time frame and process for the session and receiving final images?
Once your session time is past, it takes about one week, depending on my workload, to receive your final image gallery. Galleries are live online for 1 week, allowing you time to place your final order or make your final digital package payment. Once your order is placed and payment is made, timing depends on the products you chose. Digital downloads are available immediately. Digital images on a USB drive are mailed out to the address you provide with your order and are mailed within 4 business days. Prints can take up from 2 to 2.5 weeks to arrive at the address provided with your order. Albums and canvases may include design time and additional processing time.
How soon should I call to book my session?
Call as soon as you know you are ready to book your session. While I can usually fit you in within a couple of weeks or so, certain times of the year are very busy and I may book out weeks to months in advance. More popular session times book up faster, such as weekends. Sessions are only considered booked once your session retainer is received. To be fair to all clients, session times that are not paid for can not be held longer than 24 hours.
What are your business hours?
In general I am open Tuesday through Saturday, and closed on Sunday and Monday. Depending on the time of year, I may have openings any day of the week and if we have to reschedule a rain date I will make every effort to find a time that is mutually agreeable. Sessions that require rescheduling must take place within 30 days of the original session date (please contact me if you need other arrangements due to circumstance beyond your control such as extended hospital stays for babies, family emergencies, lengthy illness, etc).
